
In a rating of the countries on consumer download speed Ukraine was ranked 24th in the world as of May 24, 2010, Moldova found itself in the top three. It is remarkable that Russia and the USA have taken places on 28th and 26th lines accordingly.
Company Ookla, the founder of popular service Speedtest, has launched the site Net Index on which the data about testing of speed and quality of the entering and proceeding web traffic worldwide is collected.
According to the resource, from November, 23rd till May, 24th 2010 the South Korea enjoyed the fastest access to the network - 34,14 Mb/s on average.
Further follow Latvia (24,29 Mb/c), Moldova (21,37), Japan (20,29) and Sweden (19,78).
Ukraine at an average speed of access 10,1 Mb/s was ranked 24th, but further settled the U.S. (10,16 Mb/s - 26th). And two lines behind was Russia - (9,79 Mb/s - 28th).
The worst things are in Sudan (0,34 Mb/s), Mali (0,42 Mb/s) and Yemen (0,44 Mb/s), and Cuba and the North Korea in the list of Internet countries are absent at all.
Worth mentioning that by results of Miniwatts Marketing Group research Ukraine is among the Top-10 European countries with the biggest Internet audience.
